About our Virtual
Community Advisory Board Role 

The Community Advisory Board is an approximately year-long leadership and advocacy development board for B.Q.T. Fellowship Program within California and Wisconsin. CAB participants will act as conspirators in the development, implementation, and transformational processes in the program- reviewing curriculum aspects and collaborative problem-solving and advising on recruitment and retention of fellows. CAB participants will flex their leadership skills that they already possess while bringing in their skills in advisory, facilitation,  collective decision making, conflict resolution skills to support in the development of the program, Black Transgender Youth Rising.

About the Youth Advisory Board Role 

The Youth Advisory Board is a year-long leadership and advocacy development board for Black Trans youth within California and Wisconsin. YAB participants will flex their leadership skills that they already possess while developing their skills in advisory, facilitation,  collective decision making, conflict resolution skills to support in the development of the program. With the initiative and decision making power of the YAB participants, we hope to shape the program in ways to respect youth autonomy and sovereignty while having a larger community to support with problem-solving and accountability with adhering to program values and objectives.
